Preferred Location: Denver office-based or possibly home-based. Other locations: Will consider those from other areas who are willing to travel to Denver 15 - 20% of the time. Candidates who are not able to work from a local office will also be considered. The Provider Account Manager Director role: Acts as a central interface and facilitates collaboration among targeted provider groups and other key stakeholders. Owns the relationship for strategic development, alignment and execution of initiatives relating to providers across all Anthem business segments. Acts as an advocate for the provider; understands the provider's business model and proactively identifies provider needs and recommends way to improve existing relationships through best practices. Manages the relationship, day-to-day program activities and deliverables across business segments and workgroups. Resolves and escalates issues and barriers to success as required. Engages appropriate internal resources to deliver on escalated service issues and appropriate process improvement initiatives. Need to have a strategic mindset to navigate the various segments, business areas, states & providers. Requires: BA/BS; 8-10 years' experience in contracting, provider relations, provider servicing; experience must include prior contracting experience of which 5 years of experience is in account management or sales; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 5 years of experience in complex relationship, account management or sales; or any combination of education and experience. (Healthcare / Managed Care preferred.) Requires some travel for candidates outside of the Denver area. Knowledge of Healthcare Delivery Systems. Ability to navigate within diverse matrix organization.
